Think SMS might be right for you? Contact us for a guided tour of our SMS-enabled demo
site. We'll let you see how easy it is to use SMS to control your website.
Content Management Services
CMS operates under the SMS umbrella and can be configured as needed to meet
the goals of your particular website. You tell us what your operational
processes are and we customize CMS appropriately. The CMS modules in SMS
allow you to control the text and images used with in your site. You can
make real-time updates to control essentially any aspect of your site, from a
single content panel to entire web pages. As with all SMS
interfaces, CMS uses a combination of fill-in-the blank, checkboxes and buttons,
and a Microsoft-Word-like editor to support your maintenance activities,
including uploading files and images. CMS can be configured to include
dynamic maintenance of your public site's navigation system, allowing you to
create new pages on the fly.
Is your site a hotbed of activity that requires lots of updates that you want
to handle, do you need to support and provide member services, or do you need an
eCommerce presence? If so, SMS is a great cost effective solution
for any or all these needs. SMS harnesses the power of the web for you by
giving you tools to update your site content using your browser from anywhere
and at anytime you have Internet access. Oh, and did we mention that you
don't have to know the arcane details of HTML! SMS can allow you to
delegate site updates and/or access to others in your organization or even to
your website users. All access to and permissions within both public and
private pages is configurable with SMS. Of course, Camden Place is also
available to assist with your SMS activities.
CMS Features
|
Page Content |
This function
allows you to create and maintain web page content that is subsequently
displayed to your target audience. You have full control to do all
the normal page layout tasks such as edit text, add text enhancements
(color, font, bold, etc.), insert images, links, etc. Your work is
automatically encapsulated into the site's page template. (We
create the page template for you based on your specifications.) |
| Menus |
If desired, you
can use this function to manage the navigation panel on the public
portion of your website. You can dynamically add, change, and
delete links. This feature is most handy for organizations with
volatile sites such as is often the case with clients using Membership
Management Services. |
|
News |
This feature
allows you to manage news items displayed on your site, often in a
scrolling box. News items automatically are displayed and retired
based on the beginning and ending time stamp you specify. |
| Photo Albums |
You can create
photo albums for displaying photos in a slideshow. If desired you
can add short captions as commentaries about each photo. |
|
Links |
Many sites
provide a list of links to other sites. The link manager makes
coping with this process quick and easy. |
| FAQs |
What would a
website be without a frequently ask questions page! This function
helps you manage the process. You can even set up multiple
categories of FAQs, each with its own set of questions and answers. |
|
BLOGs |
Use this feature
to begin a BLOG thread. Site users can then post their
contributions. You can moderate those contributions, a real must
if your BLOGs are open to the public. |
| Forums |
Forums such as
message boards and list server groups aren't directly supported within
SMS/CMS but can be attached. |
Reminder: SMS is an optional set of services for those clients needing
advanced capabilities. Clients with smaller or less
volatile sites typically elect to have us perform all maintenance activities.
